Is this a good baisic idea for a story?

This is a great premise. I suggest making the guy wake up but when he does he's severely retarded for life. The girl has to decide whether to devote the next 60 years to taking care of him or just saying screw it, I'm outta here. You can make it even more interesting if, while she's deciding, she finds out the father is a serial killer who can travel back in time.
