SHY GUY PROBLEM- help please its driving me crazy!?

ok, there's this guy in my cl that sits in front of me and i've liked him for a while now. I think he knows because my friends have made it pretty damn obvious around college when he's nearby going ooo go and talk to him! he's really shy and we've only really said hi and smiled, but he turns around quite often in cl usually when the teacher comes over explaining something as though it's an excuse n he's just deadly silent as though he is waiting for me to say something, but i'm just as shy! the other day in cl he was sat on my row and i was speaking to my friend and he was sat next to her and i saw him in the corner of my eye looking at me so i looked at him and he quickly turned away and i think he blushed slightly- He also always does this when he's turning around ( i look up and he quickley snaps his head forward) He's also eavesdropped my conversations loads of times and once i heard his friend go "eavesdropping again!" Once i was sat in the library on my own and i looked up and he was walking past staring at me. I speak to my friend who sits next to him and he sorta joins in but never directly looks at me or says anything to me he just laughs along, but never looks straight at me. Also when we've said hi we've made deep eye contact for a few seconds, maybe because this is the only time we've actually directly looked at eachother and i said hiya n he went hi ded quickly as though he was shocked to see me. I don't know whether this is because he is quite shy so is scared about making contact with people or what? im soo confused please help because i'm not sure whether it's just me, he's just really nosey or he is scared of me because he knows i like him!
