Jeep won't start, can not figure out why?

ok jeep buffs here's my problem - 2000 jeep cherokee 4.0l straight six don't want to start seems to be getting everything but fuel, odometer reads no buss (wth does that mean) cranks no fuel gauge reading no start no fuel pump sound? , do i change the fuel pump? the pci computer? i do not have a diagnostic reader( i wish i did) spark plugs look good no goo not fouled ( but i changed them any way) any ideas......who thinks what?
