2000 Ford Contour - Chugs?

I seriously doubt its a weak fuel pump. If it were a weak fuel pump the problem would not go away simply by adding fuel but would be there no matter the fuel level as long as it could pump. My experience with fuel pumps is they either work or dont. It could be either trash in the fuel tank or an inaccurate fuel gauge. Good Luck!!
